How to book a wedding planner

You’ve decided you need a planner on board to help you with your special day, and you want to get them secured in quickly. But how do you book a wedding planner? 

Every planner will be slightly different, but at The Country Blush, this is how I’ve found it tends to work best for my clients: 

  1. You’ve found my website, been following me on Instagram or I’ve been recommended to you by someone that you trust
  2. You’ve had a little nosey, and think that I may be the one to support you with planning your special day
  3. You can then either send me a DM with ‘Wedding’ and your proposed date, or get in touch via my contact page
  4. I’ll get back to you within 24 hours to get the conversation started
  5. When you’re ready, we book a quick phone/zoom call to ‘meet’ and find out more about your wedding celebrations and you as a couple
  6. I then create your bespoke proposal, outlining exactly what is (and isn’t) included, as well as the expected level of investment
  7. I’ll pop you a message when the proposal has been sent (to save it from being hidden in your spam!). On our call, I will let you know the latest that this will be – usually within 48 hours
  8. You then have the opportunity at this point to ask questions, discuss any amendments etc
  9. Once you have checked over your proposal and are happy with it, you give me the go ahead to send over your Ts & Cs and initial invoice
  10. On receipt of the signed documents and initial payment – your date is then confirmed!

Clicking with the person behind the business is crucial when it comes to choosing the right planner for you. Of course, you will want to make sure that you trust in their abilities and expertise, but you also have to find someone who you can see yourself getting along with!

Your planner will be with you throughout one of the most important times of your life; supporting you, guiding you and genuinely championing you! Take the time to get to know your planner before you make a decision, if you have the right person in your corner, you’re off to a great start!
